For new members and those new to town, you may not be familiar with the Community Baby Shower organized by Soroptimist International of Bend. We usually have a member introduce this collection at the February guild meeting. While this is not a guild activity per se, many guild members contribute each year. Here's the scoop:
We invite the community to DONATE new or gently used baby items to be given to Deschutes County Department of Human Services (DHS) for distribution to local families in need.
Donated items will be collected February 1 through March 31 at the following drop-off sites:

Gossamer The Knitting Place
Hopscotch Kids
BJ's Quilt Basket
QuiltWorks
Deschutes Pediatric Dentistry
Baby Phases
Suggested donations (infant to toddler) include:
Disposable diapers
Pajamas, onesies, socks/booties, hats
Layette sets, hooded
Baby bottles, bibs, pacifiers
Baby oil, shampoo, lotion
Baby powder, baby wipes
Knitted/crocheted blankets/quilts
Receiving blankets
