Happy New Year! I hope you are having some good quilting time this winter. Now that we finally have some snow it feels like the perfect time settle in with fabric and thread. I have recently made several updates to the website, but there are always things I miss. If you find something that needs updating please send an email to me at mbqginfo @ gmail.com.
I'd like to point out some recent updates that are relevant right now. First of all the Boutique page includes many new pattern tutorials and a couple of videos for some new suggested projects (market totes and dog bandanas). There will be monthly Boutique Virtual Sew Days on the second Wednesday of the month, 1-4 pm. The first one is February 10. More information about how to join the sew day will follow in the February newsletter. Feel free to contact Boutique Committee members Kay Guttierez or Eileen Heber with suggestions for patterns and tutorials that the guild might want to do this year.
Secondly, the Quilt Show Info for Members page includes updated Sales Table Guidelines and the Sales Table Inventory form. If you have plans to do some spring cleaning in your sewing room you may want to take advantage of the opportunity to sell some items at our August show.
Thirdly, the Raffle Quilt page has a photo of the 2021 Raffle Quilt. It is a gorgeous quilt that we had planned to raffle off last year. Due the pandemic, the raffle was cancelled and the quilt was saved for this year. Tickets will be available for members to buy from Lynn Hart, who is heading up the Raffle Quilt Ticket Sales. Details on how she wants to coordinate that will be posted on the Raffle page as soon as I get the info. Since we don't know when we will be able to start having in-person ticket sales we will also be offering a mail order ticket option. More details on that will be posted soon. Please consider sharing the photo with friends and neighbors who might be interested in buying tickets. There will likely be a minimum ticket order size for mail order tickets. Please stay tuned for all the details.
Lastly, I have created a new page called Zoom Meeting Information. If you are not sure how to use Zoom, or would like to know a little more about it, there are several good tutorials linked there.
And now, here's what you came for!
