May 2022 - Journeys Quilt Group
This group of quilt artists discuss the various processes they use to create their original art quilts. This is a group of very talented quilt artists, and their work is always a thrill to see whether they hang in a quilt show or gallery, but it is even more inspiring to hear their journey with their quilt.
April 2022 - Guest Speaker Veruschka Zarate
Our guest speaker was Veruschka Zarate, of Pride & Joy Quilting. She explored the use of foundation paper piecing to bring about fresh and modern pieces for quilters to
make. She also discussed her development as a quilt maker and designer by sharing tips, tricks and techniques that she has learned. During her presentation, Veruschka included a trunk show of her special quilts.
September 2021 - Guest Speaker Tami Graeber
We had our final outdoor, in-person guild meeting of the year this month. It was a nice evening and we were delighted to have guest speaker Tami Graeber talk about her award-winning quilts.
July 2021 - In Person at the Mt High Gazebo
The July guild meeting was a fun time. We had perfect weather for an evening outdoor meeting and everyone enjoyed seeing friends and quilts in person! We voted on the Challenge Quilts too.
2014
2014 started out with a bang with our special guest speaker, Sarah Kaufman, author of Folded Log Cabin Quilts. Sarah is a resident of Bend and aren't we lucky to have her! She brought a unique collection of quilts. The log cabin ideas were an excellent way to inspire us for our own Log Cabin quilt challenge.
